The itinerary offers sweeping curves and hairpin turns in Dolomites area along some of the most famed motorcycle roads in Italy such as Stelvio. A detour to Franciacorta rolling hills and vineyards and the ride along northern lakes together with delicious local food make this tour perfect for a motorcycle holiday in Italy.

<p>Day 1 - Reach Bologna. The historical centre of this lively town keeps many beautiful piazzas, some splendid examples of Gothic and Renaissance architecture and is characterized byancient arcades built to help in case of hot or wet weather. After a briefing pick up the bike and reach Ducati plant for a guided tour of the motorcycle factory and museum about the history and present of this Italian company that started making radios till producing motorcycles! The tour goes on with the visit of an acetaia where Traditional Balsamic Vinegar is produced and kept in wooden barrels for a minimum of 12 years of ageing. After brunch and sampling go on north till Lago di Garda, the biggest Italian lake. The panoramic road along the lake shows nice villas, ancient remains, castles. Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Garda. </p>
<p>Breakfast. You will ride along the eastern shore of Garda Lake and reach Dolomiti. The Dolomites comprises a mountain range in the northern Italian Alps. Dolomiti have been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site as it features some of the most beautiful mountain landscapes anywhere. Dinner and overnight stay in Dolomites area. </p>
<p>Breakfast. Passes such as Flazarego, Valporala, Gardena, Sella. Bends after bends till Lago Misurina to have a look at the Tre Cime di Lavaredo and enjoy different views from these breathtaking mountains. Dinner and overnight stay in Dolomites area. </p>
<p>Breakfast. Move east and ride the 48 tornanti of Passo dello Stelvio, the highest pass in Europe. The project of the road starts back to 1818 to an idea by Austro-Hungarian military strategists to make easier and faster the links between Tyrol and Lumbardy. In 1820 they built the first tract from Bormio to Giogo and in 1825 the road had been completed. Dinner and overnight stay in Sondrio province</p>
<p>Breakfast. Another “dancing” day through the Alps. Passo Gavia is demanding and when you are at the pass (m.2621) you feel a conqueror! Then ride south towards Iseo Lake. At the foothills of the Alps, the Lago d’Iseo is a little windy lake with pictoresque little towns, the little islands of Loreto and S.Paolo and the big Monte Isola island. Dinner and overnight stay in Iseo area.</p>
<p>Breakfast. Bordering Lake Iseo you will reach Franciacorta vineyard landscape, home to what many wine connoisseurs are calling Italy’s best new sparkling wine. Franciacorta refers to both the geographical region and the wine itself, that is hand-harvested, fermented in wooden casks, and then again in the bottle for at least 18 months. Enjoy the scenery and a local dinner with great wine. Dinner and overnight stay in Franciacorta.</p>

Back to Bologna, considering a break in Mantua, a Unesco heritage city, untouched by urban development with a rich artistic and cultural history and...great food such as tortelli di zucca! Drop bike off in Bologna after a tour full of bends, good food and different landscapes and architecture</p>
